Located At: BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions Description: My name is Rex. I am a male, black Labrador Retriever mix. Age: The shelter staff think I am about 8 months old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 15, 2026. I am in kennel SURGERY34. Weight: 49 lbs | BCS 5/9 Intake Date: 8/15/2026 Status: RESCUE ONLY (medical) ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: On 8/25, staff found firm swelling along his lower left jaw with bloody saliva. Examination revealed firm, bony swelling of the left rear mandible and an open wound near the premolar/molar area, with a suspected jaw fracture. Rex was started on Carprofen 100 mg once daily for 10 days for pain/inflammation and Clavamox 375 mg twice daily for 14 days. Mandible X-rays were scheduled for 8/26.
