Nova

Nova is an adoptable female Retriever looking for a home at San Antonio Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas. She is a young adult and medium in size. Evaluation Notes: 1 of 2 in kennel: Dog is trembling with a tucked tail, wide eyes, and tucked ears upon first approach. She is able to be leashed and walked outside where she runs to the end of the leash intermittently. She is able to be walked into the yard while handlers walk behind her. As handlers enter the yard, she retreats with a tucked tail and cowers into a corner. When her leash is secured, she freezes with a tucked tail and tense body. She is able to be walked back inside the building as handlers walk behind her. Her leash is easy to remove once she is in the kennel. Behavior possibly due to environment and/or undersocialization.
