URGENT PICKUP NEEDED BY 09/14/26 Intake Info: Brutus (A2343545) was found running down the middle of the road in the source neighborhood. He was scanned for a microchip, but none was found. Brutus was observed to be very friendly in the lobby. Medical: Brutus appears to be approximately 10 years old and is an intact male. He is heartworm positive, with suspected osteoarthritis and hind limb weakness. He also has clinical signs consistent with previous chronic dermatitis on his ventrum. Brutus is classified as HS-5. Behavior Notes: Steerable with the spray bottle. Came into the yard with Draco and immediately engaged in push-pull play. Staff Notes: Very sweet boy! Volunteer Notes: Friendly, enjoys being petted all over, and is easygoing. Appears to be housebroken. Request to Rescues: Brutus is in need of a rescue that can assess his hind limb weakness, develop a treatment plan, and help him through heartworm treatment. Further evaluation of his chronic thickened skin on his ventrum is also recommended. As a senior boy, Brutus would love a rescue that can provide the medical care, comfort, and stable environment he needs to enjoy his sweet grey-muzzled years.
