Name: A5799981 Animal ID: A5799981 Location: Carson Breed: SIBERIAN HUSKY Color: WHITE Sex: Male Age: 4 years 0 months Weight: 46 lbs Assessment BEHAVIOR ASSESSMENT DISCLAIMER This assessment reflects the animal's most currently observed behavior and available history at the time of evaluation. This assessment should be considered a snapshot in time that will require updating as new information or behaviors emerge. It should not be relied upon to predict future behavior or as a statement of overall temperament. For additional information about an animal's behavior, please contact the animal care center. EVALUATION DATE: 2026-09-17 UPDATED THE LEGEND: ADULTS ONLY (REQ) i DOG SOCIAL SKILLS: CALM DOGS (REQ) i ENERGY LEVEL: LOW i TRAINING RECOMMENDATION: CONFIDENCE BUILDING i EVALUATION COMMENTS: 'The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.' Congee was already in the yard when the handler decided to begin the handling assessment. He would not walk to the side yard, so the handler moved the other dogs away from him while conducting the handling assessment. His body was tense, his eyes were wide, his mouth was closed, his ears were back, and his tail was tucked as he pressed his body into the ground. He did not move or attempt to interact with the handler at all during the assessment, and seemed to shut down completely. He allowed the handler to pet his whole body, but remained very tense and uncomfortable throughout the assessment. When the assessment was over, he turned away from the handler, and hid his head behind the pool. He did not display any aggression during the handling assessment, but will require confidence building, behavior modification, and leash training.
