Ben

Ben is an adoptable male American Staffordshire Terrier looking for a home at San Antonio Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas. He is a young adult and large in size. Evaluation Notes: 09/12/2026 - Dog is fearful upon approach with a tense body where he seems conflicted coming over to sniff me and then retreating when I open the kennel. He comes back over to me for chin scratches, retreats againm, and then allows me to leash him where he is nervous exiting the kennel slowly. Once he exits the kennel, he is tense and stops walking where he thrashes on leash. Sitting down with him, he snaps at me and bites the leash. He is returned to kennel carrying him with safety tools.
