Age: The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 6 months old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 17, 2026. I am in kennel SOUTHB33. ID #A1998618 2-year-old Staffordshire mix Female | Gray/White DOB: 3/8/2024 Weight: 42.2 lbs Spayed full term pregnant on 8/24/26 Intake date: 8/17/26 ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Crystal Michele is heartworm NEGATIVE. Crystal arrived at BARC very heavily pregnant and was determined to be probably term pregnant. She was placed on hold for an OVH and was spayed on 8/24/26. Her pre-surgical weight was 53.4 lbs and post-surgical weight was 42.2 lbs. Spayed full term! She was later treated for a localized hot spot/dermatitis at the base of her tail with cephalexin 500 mg BID for 10 days. She has received DA2PP, Bordetella and rabies vaccines, deworming and preventative. Mild tartar was noted. 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Crystal Michele is a sweet girl who often greets staff with a wiggly body, wagging tail and soft expression. She is easy to leash, walks nicely on a loose leash and has been friendly with staff. She pays little attention to other dogs while passing their kennels and enjoys affection and treats. She can become vocal when people pass her kennel, but she settles well when covered and responds positively to familiar people, reassurance and treats.
