Raven

Raven is an adoptable female Pit Bull Terrier looking for a home at NYC ACC-Queens in Ridgewood, New York. She is fully grown and medium in size. She is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list and today is the last day, listed due to medical. Adopting Raven, or even sharing her story, could save a life before it's too late.

Raven came to us with severe chronic pododermatitis and other signs of allergies. Her paws have improved with treatment, but are are still far from being resolved. Most recently, they have flared up again and are causing pain and lameness. We suspect underlying allergies as Raven also has recurring ear infections. These issues need more individualized care than can be provided in shelter, and she especially needs a clean and soft environment so her paws can heal. Raven would ideally be on a hypoallergenic diet and will likely also need long term medications for her allergies. She should see a vet to come up with a long-term plan. Behaviorally, Raven is very sweet, but can sometimes be exuberant and mouthy during medical exams. What my friends at ACC say about me: I would do best in a home with only adult humans.
