Bravo

Bravo is an adoptable male Staffordshire Bull Terrier looking for a home at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. He is a young adult and medium in size. He is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list and today is the last day, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Bravo, or even sharing his story, could save a life before it's too late.

ID #A2095740 Staffordshire Mix | Tan/Black Male | 12 months old | Intact Weight: 51.4 lbs Intake date: 9/9/26 ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Bravo arrived with a healing wound near his eye and an injured/swollen toe. He was treated with Clavamox 375 mg twice daily for 14 days and Carprofen 100 mg once daily for 14 days. He was later monitored after soft stool was reported, but remained bright, alert and responsive with no further stool noted overnight. ❤️ Heartworm NEGATIVE. His most recent 9/23 medical record lists him as NORMAL. ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Bravo has shown that once he gets past his initial uncertainty, there is a gentle, affectionate young dog underneath. He wags his tail, rubs against staff and enjoys head scratches. He has approached other dogs to sniff and touch noses and has greeted kennel neighbors with a wagging tail. Multiple notes describe Bravo as quiet, calm, gentle, easy to leash and walking on a loose leash. On 9/14, staff wrote that he calmly interacted with several citizens.
