Tyson is an adoptable male Staffordshire Bull Terrier looking for a home at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. He is still very young and medium in size. He is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list and today is the last day, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Tyson, or even sharing his story, could save a life before it's too late.

Vaccinated and dewormed. BEHAVIOR NOTES: This family appears extremely frightened and possibly undersocialized, and their behavior notes overwhelmingly describe fear rather than comfortable behavior. Just 4 months old, Tyson curls into the back of his kennel and becomes extremely distressed when handling is attempted. Tucker has hidden in the back corner with his head buried toward the wall. Staff described him as very timid and possibly unsocialized. Tilly curls into the back of her kennel and avoids eye contact. She has allowed staff to leash her but has been too frightened to walk and has needed to be carried. Tex also retreats to the back of his kennel and avoids eye contact. When handling progresses, his fear can escalate to thrashing and defensive behavior.
