A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.' Sugar A5801622 greeted the runner with a timid demeanor, she was quiet and still, the runner was able to remove her from the kennel, she walked slowly on leash. In the catch pen when she was introduced to the dogs her body was low, her mouth was closed, her tail was low with no wag and her eyes were concerned. She was easy to collar and leash. She entered the yard and was uncomfortable during the greetings. She was anxious. She paced back and forth. She growled at the dogs who hovered around her. She slightly settled after some time but she preferred to keep to herself and roamed the yard quietly. Overall, Sugar was tolerant of the dogs and does not have a playstyle at this time. Behaviorally ok for public adoption, large calm dogs required.
