A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.' Andy A5801590 was in the middle of the kennel when the runner approached him, he was frightened, his body was curled, his eyes were concerned with dilated pupils and his tail was tucked. He trembled as the runner entered his kennel to leash him. He walked nervously through the kennels. In the catch pen when he was introduced to the dogs his body was low, his eyes were concerned, his tail was low and his mouth was closed. He was easy to collar and leash but nervous. He entered the yard and was nervous during his greetings. He was uncomfortable, he attempted to walk away anytime the dogs approached him or hovered around him. One of the dogs became fixated on him, he growled and charged towards him, the handler grabbed him and moved him to the side yard. Andy remained slightly uncomfortable with the dogs but was very tolerant of them. He laid down the rest of his time in the yard. Dogs approached him, jumped on him, and hovered around him, he remained tolerant. Overall, Andy was tolerant of the dogs and does not have a playstyle at this time. See handling assessment.
