A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out'or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences. She was easily leashed in kennel despite her trying hard to door dash out of her kennel. She had soft eyes and a neutral tail wag while the runner easily clasped the collar around her neck. She remained loose while greeting several dogs through the fence. She was initially timid entering the yard but as a few dogs came and sniffed her body, she suddenly became playful. She zoomed around the yard, trying to entice a male husky and female pit bull for play. She spent a few minutes chasing with the male husky, displaying a push/pull play style. She was eventually able to convince the female pit bull for play. She was initially gentle with her play but as time passed, she became much more physical, pawing and jumping on the pit bull. She was respectful of warning given by the pit bull and would either stop her play temporarily or become less physical. She was very energetic when soliciting affection from the handlers. She playfully ran up to them at full speed and would either run into their legs or jump on them to seek affection. She will need basic manners training. She also enjoyed cooling off and playing in the pool. She would splash around and dive into the water playfully. She remained playful and social for the rest of her time in the yard. She needs basic manners training and continued socialization. BEHAVIORALLY OK FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION, LARGE DOGS OK, HIGH ENERGY
