In his prior home, Leap Frog was observed to lunge at the child in the home and was nipping the adopter's partner. Leap Frog would also hard bark, growl, lunge, snap at familiar and unfamiliar dogs. While in care, Leap Frog has also been observed to be dog reactive. Noted to fixate and hard stare at other dogs with a tense body and raised hackles. In kennel, Leap Frog will snap at the neighboring dogs. With handlers, Leap Frog allows contact and is receptive to treats. He is receptive to cues such as "sit" and "paw." Medically, Leap Frog is apparently healthy. What my friends at ACC say about me: I am excitable and energetic! I will need positive outlets for my energy! I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me. I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some canine body language together! I would do best in a home with only adult humans. I need a home where there are no other dogs. I visited Central Park and had a picnic! Here is my report card from my boroughbreakers: 3 words to describe Leap Frog are... Friendly, strong, goofy. Very sweet, friendly, and affectionate with people. Highly treat-motivated and responds enthusiastically to rewards. Very alert to surroundings; crosses streets quickly and efficiently. Highly reactive to other dogs regardless of their behavior. Does not respond to treats during these times. Great street manners and ignores street trash!
