Evaluation Comments (Observations from our staff and volunteers) 10/19/2026 Dog was closed to back half of kennel during AM cleaning. Approached front of kennel gate with a fast tail wag. Walked with a hard pull out of kennel once leashed. Dog would attempt to fence fight with nearby kennels. Quickly turned & muzzle punched handlers legs hard, took a step back & did a hard stare towards handler, did a shake off of body turned body again & pulled hard on leash to continue walking. Walked to small PY with flagged tail & hackles fully raised along spine. Handler called for assistance once in PY. Allowed a rope leash to be placed onto dog with a clip leash pre-attached then removed biothane leash from dog while assistant handler distracted with treats being tossed on ground. Walked with a hard pull back to kennel with tail still flagged & hackles still fully raised. Assistant handler opened kennel gate & helped to verbally coax dog to enter into kennel, tossed a jackpot amount of treats into kennel. Removed leash with use of pre-attached clip leash. 10/18/2026 Inside for AM cleaning with flagged tail wag, some tense body but softened with baby talk and accepted treats gently, wide eyed with some wiggly body. Easy leash placement at front of kennel, exited with strong pull on leash, flagged tail, tense bodied, no issues walking to play yard. In yard dog would have some high energy/high arousal, pulled hard to sniff, tolerated petting on body when placing leash stopper. Would pace around perimeter of yard quickly, flagged tail and tense bodied, paced near reactive dogs outside of yard, would start to come to handler only when offered treats, wide eyed, wide mouth panting, head shy with pets at first with some hard stares but would start accepting pets as evaluation progressed, once done petted dog will continue to pace around yard. Interested in activities outside of yard and runs to fence line to sniff, will return to handler when called over. Mouthy with treats offered, knows \"SIT\". Will have some soft body and wagging flagged tail when called over by handler but scanning environment throughout, never settled from flagged tail and alert ears. Came to handler when called over, some jumping up onto handler with wiggly body. Walked back to kennel with no issues, began fence fighting with neighboring dog intensely, had to use slight leash pressure to guide dog away and guide into kennel, dog settled once in kennel with wide eyes, wide mouth panting, some softer tail wag, allowed handler to remove leash slowly with no issues. 10/18/2026 During AM cleaning dog did not want to come inside, refused tossed treats and verbal coaxing, handler went around to the backs, dog was visibly trembling laying down, opened kennel door and made a big loop to leash, dog was skeptikal of the leash and moved head side to side when it got placed around neck, once leash was placed handler opened kennel door and verbally coaxed dog forward, dog low crawled out of the kennel, once out of the kennel dog walked nicely around the building stopping to sniff, and body relaxing coming up to handler to sniff and had soft tail wags, when opening door to walk inside the building the noise from the other dogs caused him to put on the breaks and stop moving forward, after a couple more attempts and the building getting quieter we walked inside, dog stayed low to the ground and ignored others when passing, entered kennel with no issues and allowed removal of leash by hand. Dog accepted treats when the kennel door was closed. 10/15/2026 on approach, dog stiff body, hard stare, alarm barking. Alternate handler tossed treats into lobby booth, dog eating treats. When putting treats away, handler briefly pet with leash, dog began whale eyeing handler, and resumed alarm barking. Handler took steps away from booth, having finder open booth door, letting dog walk out. Dog pilo erect, flagged tail, walking erratric in all directions. Ignoring handler unless touch with leash, then hard stare. Able to leash with large loop and walked into triage. Dog required constant redirecting away from handlers, using treats, squeaky toys or verbal coaxing from alternate handlers. Whenever not actively redirecting dogs attention, dog would stand stiff, hard staring with whale eyes, taking steps towards handlers. Able to muzzlewrap for vaccines. Dog walked to kennel, stopping at dog building, briefly thrashing, then walking thorugh dog ward, entering kennel with no issue.
