About Legoshi

Legoshi is an adoptable male Pit Bull Terrier looking for a home at Philadelphia Animal Care and Control in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is fully grown and medium in size. He is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list with only 3 days left, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Legoshi, or even sharing his story, could save a life before it's too late.

Legoshi ACCT-A-263391 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to length of stay and lack of space for incoming dogs. Legoshi must have confirmed placement with a RESCUE PARTNER or ADOPTER by Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 10AM. Should Legoshi's medical or behavioral status change, his urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Meet Legoshi, a sweet, silly boy with a bright puppy spirit, an affectionate heart, and plenty of playful energy! This handsome guy loves getting out for adventures, showing off his zoomies, chasing toys, and running around the yard. He can be a little jumpy when excited, but underneath all that youthful enthusiasm is a gentle boy who loves attention from his people. Legoshi has been known to gently rest his head in your lap for pets and give kisses to show his appreciation. He has also shown that he can settle down for some affection after getting his energy out. While he may be shy and hesitant when meeting unfamiliar people, he has made progress during his time at the shelter and has shown his silly, loving personality as he becomes more comfortable. Legoshi is a social guy when it comes to other dogs! He has consistently shown positive social skills in playgroup, greeting other dogs appropriately, mingling with the group, and moving away when he needs space. He enjoys playful interactions, including bouncy movements and play bows, and has shown that he can be redirected when he gets a little too enthusiastic. His finder also reported that he did wonderfully with their large dog, teenage children, and cats while staying in their home for two weeks. The shelter environment can be overwhelming for Legoshi, and he has experienced significant fear and stress, so he will need a patient, understanding home that allows him time to decompress and build confidence at his own pace. Once he feels more comfortable, his playful and affectionate side has a chance to shine! Legoshi is an active boy who can get excited on leash and may pull, so continued positive reinforcement and guidance will help him develop his walking manners. He is looking for a home with another confident, social dog, as having a canine companion is strongly recommended for his success. A compatible dog friend, a predictable routine, and a family willing to give him the time and reassurance he needs could make all the difference for this special boy. Legoshi has so much love and puppyish joy to share, and he is hoping someone will give him the chance to feel safe, gain confidence, and become the wonderful companion he has the potential to be!
