James A5805450 (Intact) had an initial stoic demeanor but began to wag his tail excitedly when the leash was presented to him. He allowed himself to be leashed with ease and exited the kennel on his own. James proceeded to lead the way to the catch pen with a moderate pull on the leash, appearing concerned as he passed his neighboring kennels. He maintained the same demeanor inside the catch pen while a collar and leash were placed on him without issue. James was then allowed into the yard, where he ignored the dogs and chose to explore the environment instead while exhibiting a slightly tense posture. He stopped by the handlers to solicit affection on various occasions. For the rest of the session, he appeared more comfortable around the dogs, though he showed little interest to engage in play. Once the session concluded, he was returned to his kennel without incident. James could benefit from a calm companion who will respect his boundaries and allow him to interact at his own pace.
