Oso is an adoptable male White German Shepherd looking for a home at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. He is fully grown and large in size. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 15, 2026. I am in kennel SOUTHD22. Weight: 83.8 lbs Intake Date: 8/15/2026 ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Oso is Heartworm NEGATIVE but has developed a minor cough, clear nasal discharge and sneezing, consistent with suspected CIRD/URI. He was moved to treatment and started on Doxycycline 400 mg once daily for 10 days. Oso is heartworm negative and has received his DA2PP, Bordetella and rabies vaccines, dewormer and Advantage Multi. ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Oso has repeatedly shown staff what a sweet, manageable senior he can be. He is easy to leash, walks beautifully on a loose leash and remains relaxed outside. He is often quiet and relaxed in his kennel and has been observed calmly lying near the kennel door. He loves going outside for a walk.
