Landon

Landon is an adoptable female Staffordshire Bull Terrier looking for a home at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. She is fully grown and medium in size. She is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list and today is the last day, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Landon, or even sharing her story, could save a life before it's too late.

Located At: BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions Description: My name is Landon. I am a female, gray and white Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. Age: The shelter staff think I am about 4 years old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 05, 2026. I am in kennel SOUTHD31. Weight: 45 lbs Intake date: 8/5/2026 Landon came to BARC as a confiscation following an eviction. ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Landon arrived with dermatitis on her back and tail/flea allergy dermatitis (FAD). On 8/17, she developed coughing, hacking and clear nasal discharge consistent with CIRD/URI and was treated with Doxycycline 200 mg once daily for 10 days. On 8/28, no URI symptoms were observed and her CIRD was officially RESOLVED! She is Heartworm NEGATIVE, has received DA2PP, Bordetella, Rabies, deworming, Pyrantel and Advantage Multi. ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Landon repeatedly greets staff with a loose, wiggly body, soft eyes and happy wagging tail. She is easy to leash, walks nicely on a loose leash and sits on her own while patiently waiting for a treat. Recent notes describe strong pulling and bolting forward on leash, particularly when eager to get outside. She can become difficult to redirect when excited.
