Cruz

Cruz is an adoptable male Pit Bull Terrier looking for a home at NYC ACC-Manhattan in New York, New York. He is fully grown and large in size. Initially when Cruz arrived at the care center he was observed to be fearful. Noted to show whale eye and vocalize when handlers attempted to interact with him. Recently Cruz has been social with handlers. While in kennel, Cruz has been observed to jump up and bite the leash. During his reassessment, Cruz was noted to jump up and bite the leash, almost catching the handler's arm. Medically, Cruz has unspecified dermatitis and a wound. Cruz arrived at MACC as a stray with no known history. While in care, Cruz has been observed to be highly fearful. Noted to show whale eye and vocalize when handlers attempt to interact with him. Cruz is then noted to escalate to alert barking and growling when treats are offered. Due to the detailed behavior, we recommend an experienced adult-only home. What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children. I would do best in a home with only adult humans. I need a home where there are no other dogs. I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some canine body language together!
