Mickey is an adoptable female Staffordshire Bull Terrier looking for a home at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. She is a young adult and medium in size. Age: The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 1 month old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 30, 2026. I am in kennel SOUTHB19. Weight/ 51 lbs Intake date: 8/30/2026 ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Mickey is heartworm NEGATIVE. She received DA2PP, Bordetella, Rabies, deworming/Pyrantel and Advantage Multi at intake. No other medical concerns are documented in the notes provided. ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Mickey has a fast, wiggly body, wagging tail and does adorable tippy taps. She pulled on leash going outside but remained wiggly and happy, showed no noted behavior concerns while in the run, and was retrieved and returned to her kennel without issue. She has sometimes displayed forward barking, toward dogs passing her kennel, as well as growling when unfamiliar people pulled back her kennel cover.
