Located At: BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions Description: My name is Lisa Dede. I am a female, black and white Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. Age: The shelter staff think I am about 7 years old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Jul 31, 2026. I am in kennel SOUTHB04. Weight: 50 lbs Intake date: 7/31/2026 💔 Lisa Dede came into BARC with her 5 puppies, including Pippy and Pumpkin, who are NOT currently on the euthanasia list. Now their mama needs someone to save HER. ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Lisa Dede is heartworm NEGATIVE. At intake she had very mild flea dermatitis near the base of her tail and was treated with Advantage Multi. She later developed URI/CIRD with green nasal discharge and was treated with Doxycycline 200 mg once daily for 10 days. On 8/25 she vomited bile and received Cerenia. By 8/30, no URI symptoms were present and her CIRD was considered RESOLVED. She has received DA2PP, Bordetella, Rabies, deworming/Pyrantel and preventatives. ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Lisa Dede's is a very sweet, calm and gentle mama. She greets people with a wiggly body and softly wagging tail, walks beautifully on a loose leash, enjoys treats and will lean into you for pets. She relaxes quietly on her cot, keeps her kennel clean overnight and is calm and friendly with staff. She has also paid little attention to other dogs while passing their kennels and runs. One note describes her greeting staff with 'happy feet' and a 'happy tail.' This sweet girl has been waiting at BARC for more than a month for someone to save her. volunteer notes: Sometimes I don't know what's worse being on the euthanasia list a few weeks after arriving at the shelter or staying there for over 30 days. This sweetheart has been there over 30 days and she has nothing but good staff notes. She came in with her puppies and she ended up being alone after her puppies were adopted. She ended up at the shelter after the police served in eviction notice to her owner. This girl has not had an easy life. I really don't think that she's seven years old. I think that she's probably a little younger. When I met her, she was nothing but this sweet girl that her staff note say. She is also cute as a button. She walks so loosely on the leash no pulling it all. Takes treats gently. Doesn't jump all over you. She did great with her temperament test. I tried playing ball with her, but I don't think she really knows how to. That obviously can be learned. I know there were a few other volunteers that also fell in love with this girl, and I really would love for her to make it out. It would be a shame for her to be at the shelter for over 30 days only to be euthanized. Let's get this sweet girl out out of the shelter and into a wonderful home.! video:
