Laylay
Pit Bull Terrier
We do not know what happened to Laylay
The date this shelter listed for Laylay has passed. Shelters often push these dates back, and many pets are adopted or pulled by a rescue first, so Laylay may still be there. The shelter can tell you.
Laylay is an adoptable female Pit Bull Terrier looking for a home at Philadelphia Animal Care and Control in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is fully grown and medium in size. She is listed on the shelter's euthanasia list, listed due to lack of space, and that date has now passed. Shelters often move these dates, so Laylay may still be waiting. The shelter can confirm.
LayLay ACCT-A-258319 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to length of stay and lack of space for incoming dogs. LayLay must have confirmed placement with a RESCUE PARTNER or ADOPTER by MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14TH at 10AM. Should LayLay's medical or behavioral status change, her urgency and timeline for placement may also change. LayLay came to ACCT Philly as an owner surrender on August 16th because her owner had too many pets. Her owner described her as an active dog who is housetrained, crate trained, and would love a house with a yard. LayLay has shown herself to be a sweet, playful girl who loves zoomies, gentle pets, and playing fetch, and she's been described as a good girl by the staff and volunteers who spend time with her. She's done well meeting other dogs, greeting them appropriately in playgroup and fence introductions and even growing confident enough to correct pushy behavior from a playmate. She can take a little time to warm up to new people and settle into a new space, but with some patience she opens up into a sweet, food-motivated companion. LayLay would thrive in a cat-free home with children over 12 and people willing to give her a little time to adjust and get comfortable. Due to her length of stay, LayLay is urgently seeking placement with a rescue partner or adopter.
