Kaiser A5801203 (Intact) was at the front of the kennel pacing and barking anxiously with a neutral posture upon the runner's arrival. He lightly nibbled the leash through the barrier when it was presented to him. Kaiser was easily leashed and exited the kennel on his own. He proceeded to make his way to the catch pen, walking alongside the runner as he passed his neighboring kennels. Once inside the catch pen, Kaiser paced anxiously while a collar and leash were being applied, requiring firm leash control to keep him still. He was then allowed into the yard, where he exchanged greetings with some of the dogs, exhibiting a neutral demeanor during the interactions. Following the introduction, he moved on to explore the environment, showing little interest in the dogs around him. Kaiser eventually began to play, zooming around the yard independently. For the rest of the session, he coexisted peacefully with everyone in the yard while continuing to play on his own. Once the session concluded, he was separated from the other dogs to begin the handling assessment. Kaiser could benefit from continued socialization in a yard setting to help him develop his social skills with other dogs.
