Azrael

Azrael is an adoptable male American Staffordshire Terrier looking for a home at San Antonio Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas. He is a young adult and medium in size. He is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list and today is the last day, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Azrael, or even sharing his story, could save a life before it's too late.

Evaluation Notes: 09/11/2026 - 1 of 2 in kennel: Dog is tense with wide eyes and tucked ears upon first approach. He is able to be leashed and lifted where he flails out of my arms and runs to the end of the leash with a tucked tail. He is given time to adjust and then lifted and carried outside. He retreats to a corner of the yard and lays here with a tense body and tucked tail. He does not adjust for the remainder of the interaction. He is easy to lift and carry back to his kennel.
