Fredrick

Fredrick is an adoptable male American Staffordshire Terrier looking for a home at San Antonio Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas. He is senior and medium in size. He is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list and today is the last day, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Fredrick, or even sharing his story, could save a life before it's too late.

Evaluation Notes: 09/16/2026 - Dog approaches me at the barrier with wide eyes, a loose body, and a low tail. He is easy to leash and walk out of his kennel where he runs to the end of the leash with wide eyes and pinned ears. He slowly walks outside where he's interested in urine marking. He watches passing dogs with a tense body and low tail. As handlers enter the yard, he is nervous with a low tail and slowly approaches with a lowered head and tense body. He is easy to return to kennel.
