Carrot Top is an adoptable female Pit Bull Terrier looking for a home at NYC ACC-Manhattan in New York, New York. She is a young adult and medium in size. Carrot Top is noted to show kennel stress and has been increasingly vocal and has attempted to bite the leash, kennel fight with neighboring dogs, and pull toward dogs/crates with a tense body. Outside, she is generally calmer and social with handlers but may fixate and hard stare at dogs, requiring redirection and increased distance. Medically, Carrot Top has Allergies. Carrot Top arrived at MACC as a stray with no known history. While in care, Carrot has been observed to be kennel reactive and rope reactive. Noted to pull hard towards other dogs with a tense body. In kennel, Carrot will bite and tug the leash into kennel when handlers are attempting to leash him. This behavior is not able to be redirected easily. Due to the detailed behavior, we recommend an experienced adult only home. What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!
