Luna

Luna is an adoptable male American Staffordshire Terrier looking for a home at San Antonio Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas. He is fully grown and large in size. He is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list and today is the last day, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Luna, or even sharing his story, could save a life before it's too late.

Evaluation Notes: 09/21/2026 - Owner surrender due to owner issue. Dog is fearful upon approach with a tense body, tightly tucked tail, pinned ears, and wide eyes. She makes direct eye contact with a frontal frontally aligned body position and begins to growl. She retreats as I come up to the front of her kennel and does not allow any interaction. Previously she has snapped and growled at handlers. Behavior possibly due to environment.
