Lexi is an adoptable female Staffordshire Bull Terrier looking for a home at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. She is still very young and medium in size. She is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list and today is the last day, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Lexi, or even sharing her story, could save a life before it's too late.

Located At: BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions Description: My name is Lexi. I am a female, brown and black Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. Age: The shelter staff think I am about 8 weeks old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 24, 2026. I am in kennel DA02. Weight: 8.5 lbs Intake Date: 8/24/2026 Status: Rescue only ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Tiny Lexi arrived at just 8 weeks old with skin problems and an injured left hind leg. She has generalized pustules and papules on her belly with scaling around her ears. A skin scrape found nothing significant, and the veterinarian diagnosed puppy pyoderma. More concerning, Lexi is limping on her left hind leg with firm swelling around the lower tibia/fibula. The veterinarian believes this is from a previous fracture'meaning this tiny baby has already suffered a significant injury in her very short life. Current treatment: ' Clavamox twice daily x 14 days ' Carprofen once daily x 10 days 💉 DA2PP & Bordetella given 💊 Dewormed & given flea prevention ⸻ 💗 ABOUT LEXI There are no detailed behavior notes yet because Lexi only arrived on 8/24.
