More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 23, 2026. I am in kennel DC14. Weight: 48 lbs | BCS 4/9 Intake Date: 8/23/2026 ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Dalila tested HIGH POSITIVE for heartworms. She has received DA2PP, Bordetella and rabies vaccines, dewormer and Advantage Multi. No other current medical condition is documented in the provided notes. ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Dalila is terrified in the shelter. Staff consistently describe her trembling, freezing and pressing herself against the wall. When leashed, she may refuse to walk or take only a few slow steps before pancaking to the ground. But even while this frightened, Dalila allows gentle petting. Soft voices and 'baby talk' have helped encourage her to slowly take steps and follow staff. On 8/26, she allowed her head and back to be petted while shaking with fear.
