Bella

Bella is an adoptable female Staffordshire Bull Terrier looking for a home at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. She is a young adult and medium in size. She is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list and today is the last day, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Bella, or even sharing her story, could save a life before it's too late.

Located At: BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions Description: My name is Bella. I am a female, tan and white Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. Age: The shelter staff think I am about 1 year old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 21, 2026. I am in kennel SOUTHC22. Weight: 51.4 lbs Intake date: 8/21/2026 ⸻ MEDICAL NOTES: Bella was noted as intact at intake and is heartworm negative. She has received DA2PP, Bordetella, Rabies, deworming/Pyrantel and Advantage Multi. No current medical concerns were documented. ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Bella is an energetic, wiggly and friendly young dog who is having a difficult time coping with the shelter environment. At intake, staff described her as 'hyper and wiggly' but friendly. Bella becomes excited in her kennel when people pass. Once someone actually opens her kennel to greet her, Bella smiles, wiggles her whole body and walks toward them. She allows herself to be leashed and enjoys getting outside, although she currently pulls and zigzags with puppy enthusiasm. She was also given a tennis ball for enrichment and immediately began playing with it.
