Chloe is an adoptable female Staffordshire Bull Terrier looking for a home at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. She is fully grown and medium in size. She is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list and today is the last day, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Chloe, or even sharing her story, could save a life before it's too late.

Located At: BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions Description: My name is Chloe. I am a female, black Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Siberian Husky. Age: The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 23, 2026. I am in kennel SOUTHC30. Weight: 41 lbs Intake date: 8/23/2026 ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Chloe tested HIGH POSITIVE for heartworms. She will need appropriate veterinary follow-up and heartworm treatment. She received DA2PP, Bordetella and rabies vaccinations, deworming, pyrantel and Advantage Multi at intake. ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Chloe is showing fear and stress in the shelter. She has a crouched or tense body, tucked tail, ears down, dilated pupils and avoids physical contact. She has difficulty transitioning between the kennel and outdoor runs and may freeze, back away or panic when tension is placed on the leash. But there are small glimpses of Chloe wanting to trust. While a staff member quietly cleaned her kennel, Chloe slowly approached on her own and sniffed their hand before backing away and sitting nearby.
