Leela
Pit Bull Terrier (mix breed)
Urgent: 2 Days Left
Scheduled: October 7, 2026
Reason: Lack of Space
Leela is an adoptable female Pit Bull Terrier looking for a home at Philadelphia Animal Care and Control in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is fully grown and medium in size. She is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list with only 2 days left, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Leela, or even sharing her story, could save a life before it's too late.
Leela ACCT-A-261047 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to length of stay and lack of space for incoming dogs. Leela must have confirmed placement with a RESCUE PARTNER or ADOPTER by WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7TH at 10AM. Should Leela's medical or behavioral status change, her urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Leela came to ACCT Philly on September 7th after she was found tied up and scared, but it didn't take long for this sweet girl to come out of her shell. Once she feels comfortable, Leela is affectionate, goofy, and very people-focused, with a wiggly body and a tail that never seems to stop wagging. She loves treats, is very food motivated, and is generally easy to handle. She walks well and enjoys spending time with her people. Leela is looking for an adult-only home where she can settle in and show off her sweet personality. Due to her length of stay, Leela is urgently seeking placement with a rescue partner or adopter.
